Notice of Temporary Traffic Regulation Order
Whitley Road, Banwell North Somerset
Temporary Prohibition of Use By Vehicles and Cyclists

Date coming into force: 16 June 2026
Ref: T26-35

REMINDER:

Notice is hereby given that North Somerset District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, intend to make an order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles and cyclists the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice.

This order was required because of surface dressing works and will become operative on 16 June 2026, anticipated to be of one day. The working hours will be 08:00-17:00.

The road will be closed for the reinstallation of road markings which will become operative on 25 June 2026 anticipated to be of one day in duration between the hours of 08:00-17:00.

The maximum period for the closure is eighteen months, however, the closure may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works.

Schedule
Whitley Road - From the junction of Well Lane to the junction of Bridewell Lane

Alternative routes
Whitley Road (Part unaffected), Christon Road, The Rhodyate, Castle Hill, West Street, Knightcott Road, Well Lane and vice versa.
