Look at the size of these Runner Beans!
They are whopping and have been grown by Samantha Cook and the garden volunteers.
Our secret...sshh. 🤫
Is to water them with a magnetic watering system from Abimax which fits to our water tap. (Or can be used on a watering can or hose pipe)
The rain water is collected from our well and stored inside this huge water tank.

(D) Something else?

I’m always mesmerised by the vast numbers of different snowdrops and daffodils and love seeing them all wake up from winter in the Walled Gardens.

Lincolnshire Plant Supports will be at the bulb fair on Saturday 26th September
— and if your peonies have ever ended up flat on the lawn after a bit of rain, this is the stall for you.
Getting supports in early, before everything's grown up through them, makes a real difference come summer
…but they also give support for your daffs, tulips, fritillaries and alliums.
Something to think about while you're planting bulbs this autumn. 🌸

We have a fantastic selection of for the bulb fair, a array of bulbs to plant this autumn for a spectacular spring show.

Join us at Bardney Manor Walled Garden on Saturday 26th September, 10am–4pm.

Browse a beautiful selection of spring-flowering bulbs all supplied by Taylors Bulbs — from daffodils, tulips and hyacinths to crocus, alliums, snowdrops, fritillaries and more — then explore the Walled Garden while you’re here.

If you've never grown from a named variety before, this is the sort of stall where you could easily lose an hour — and come home with far more than you planned to buy. Ask me how I know. 🤭

10am–4pm, free entry, no booking needed. 🌱

Have you grown fritillaries before – or are they something you’d like to add to your Spring Bulb Shopping List 🛍️?

I promised you a proper look at this — the fritillaries.

If you've never grown them, they're one of those bulbs that reward a bit of patience.

Tall, unusual, a world away from a straightforward daffodil.

Some varieties have a faint, musky smell that's said to help keep squirrels off your other bulbs — as good an excuse as any to grow them.

We'll have fritillaries, daffodils, snowdrops and more at the fair — 10am–4pm, Saturday 26th September, free entry.. 🌷
