Before and after photos! We thought we would share with you some photos which shows how we have taken an empty room and transformed it into a welcoming community space for everyone to enjoy 🥰

We are a volunteer run project and would love for you to come and support us.

If you love books, have children who enjoy crafts, games or reading, or simply you are someone who is wanting somewhere to go for a friendly chat, please do come by when we are open.

Currently we open 9:30m until 12:30pm on a Tuesday and 1:30pm until 4:30pm on a Thursday.

Darton Community Volunteer Library opened in March this year. We are a Darton West Ward Alliance project which was funded by Barnsley Council's Love Where You Live Programme.

Our dedicated group of volunteers open up the library twice a week to allow people the space to read, relax and connect with others.

We are a non-statutory library which runs on a goodwill basis. Come and say hello when we are next open to take a look and find out more about this new community space.

The library is located on the first floor of the Darton Centre and can be accessed via the footpath leading from the car park to the back of the building.
