The Area Team works across the South of Barnsley (Darfield and Great Houghton, Hoyland Milton, Rockingham and Wombwell electoral wards) on behalf of Barnsley Council. We work with the Darfield, Billingley, Middlecliffe, Little Houghton, Broom Hill, Edderthorpe, Hoyland, Platts Common, Blacker Hill, Jump, Elsecar, Hemingfield, Hoyland Common, Birdwell and Wombwell communities on behalf of Barnsley Council. Our role is to support residents, community groups and Councillors to work together to improve our communities and the quality of life for the people who live and work here. We’re able to support groups with guidance and information, identifying training and funding opportunities, recruitment of volunteers, publicity and development of project ideas.
