Apparently hiding in the cleaning cupboard isn’t a recognised fitness plan. 😆

Which is a shame, because I’d committed to it.

But there is a point in here somewhere…

If you’ve been avoiding the gym because you feel unfit, out of routine or like you’ve “left it too long”, you’re probably making it feel worse than it actually is.

Coming back doesn’t need to be dramatic.

One session.

One small step.

Then another.

Much easier than living behind a mop bucket forever.

Please be aware that our downstairs gym will be closed tomorrow, Thursday 27th August, from 6:00am–9:00am while essential maintenance is carried out.

The gym will reopen as normal from 9:00am.

**20 years of service… now that deserves a proper thank you. 👏**

Michelle’s journey with us started with **one fitness class**.

Then came more classes.

Then more.

Then swim teaching.

Then multiple swimming lessons.

Well… that escalated quickly. 😆

Actually, maybe not quickly — it’s been 20 years — but it definitely escalated.

Over those two decades, Michelle has given a huge amount of time, energy and experience to our members, helping people get fitter, more confident and more comfortable in the water.

That kind of long service doesn’t happen by accident.

It comes from consistency, commitment and genuinely caring about the people you work with.

So from all of us at Hoyland Leisure Centre:
