Notice of Annual Meeting of the Parish:

Monday 14th of April 7.00pm

The Annual Parish Meeting is a public meeting where the Parish Council, and other local organisations, provide an update on their activities over the past year.

Purpose:
It's an opportunity for electors to hear about what the Parish Council has been doing, ask questions, and raise concerns or suggestions about issues relevant to the parish.

Who attends:

All electors of the parish are welcome to attend, and only registered electors can speak and vote.

Who presides:

If there is a Parish Council, the Chairman (or vice-chair) presides. If there is no Parish Council, a chairman is elected by the meeting itself.

Agenda:

The agenda typically includes reports from the Parish Council, County and District Councillors, and local organisations.

Not a Parish Council Meeting:

It's important to note that the Annual Parish Meeting is not a meeting of the Parish Council itself. It's a meeting of the electors of the parish.

Public Participation:

Members of the public are permitted to make statements on relevant matters during the meeting.

One of our Parish Cllrs has been out topping up our grit bins today, the attached photos show which ones. The remaining ones will be filled in the coming days. Without the use of industrial vehicles this isn't an easy task and relies on the goodwill of our Cllrs and volunteers.

This is a map of all the Parish Council Grit Bins (red) locations. I've currently got Stoneleigh and bottom of Lidgett as a request to fill. Are there any more?

We've had a very generous offer of help from a local lad to fill them for us.

Good Evening Everyone, we hope your all managing to stay safe in this challenging weather.

If you are lucky enough to have a black grit bin nearby and it's in need of more grit please let us know so we can arrange for the container to be opened for collection.

Sadly due to low Cllr numbers we don't have anyone available to replenish them so need people to come forward and collect. .

Hope everyone is keeping safe today in the snow.

Roads out of the village look passable with care. The Motorway is currently stood at Junction 37 (Northbound), but is running slowly southbound.

BMBC gritting teams were out all last night and gritted the main roads in the village, they continue to treat priority roads and then will move on to smaller roads.

Bus services are currently suspended.

To help cheer us all up, let's see your snow pictures 📸 ☃️ ( Here’s one from 1982 when Lidgett Lane was blocked off)

Seasons Greetings.

The Parish Council would like to wish all Parishioners a very Merry Christmas.

We'd also like to remind everyone of the fantastic event on Christmas Eve at the hub and to keep a special eye out for Santa 🎅 as he travels round the village.
