You will be working with the team of place-based Community Developers and Connectors to help discover and remove the barriers, promote accessibility and ensure services are available to all.

🚨 VCSE Sector Awareness Event – Local Government, NHS & Mental Health Initiatives 🚨

Significant changes are taking place across local government, health and mental health services.

Join us for a VCSE sector discussion and networking event exploring:

✅ Local Government Reorganisation & Devolution
✅ Integrated Neighbourhoods
✅ Devon Mental Health Alliance Shared Pathways

This event is designed to inform, engage and create space for discussion, helping VCSE organisations better understand what these developments may mean for communities whilst capturing questions, concerns, opportunities and ideas from across the sector.

Whilst we may not have all the answers, we believe it is important that the VCSE sector is part of the conversation from the outset.

This summer, £2m in unrestricted funding has been donated to third sector organisations through the easyfundraising platform.

Through this free to use and trusted website, thousands of online retailers will donate money to your organisation when your volunteers, staff, trustees and supporters shop with them. Popular retailers who will donate include Tesco, trainline, eBay, Argos, Asda, Sainsbury’s, John Lewis, M&S, Boots, Asda, Booking.com and 8,000 others.

Every three months, the donations are paid to your organisation as unrestricted funding, to spend on whatever you need. easyfundraising is already trusted by lots of good causes in our region who are raising much needed funds this way.

We've already received nearly 400 responses, but we know there are still people and communities whose experiences haven't yet been captured.

Lovely to see that mindful Mondays are expanding into evening meals and with a community table for those that live alone and looking forgood company and good food 🧡🫶🧡

𝐌𝐈𝐍𝐃𝐅𝐔𝐋 𝐌𝐎𝐍𝐃𝐀𝐘𝐒 𝐀𝐑𝐄 𝐆𝐑𝐎𝐖𝐈𝐍𝐆!
We are delighted to announce that from Monday 14th September 2026, we will be extending one of our Mindful Monday sessions into the evening every month, with a designated social table to create even more opportunities for connection, conversation and community!
Introducing our 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐓𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞.

Castle Chambers Barnstaple will be increasing the opening hours every 2nd Monday of the month to include an evening meal service that is open to all, with options to either eat-in or takeaway. In addition to this, a member of our team will be hosting a community table where anyone is welcome to join others for food, conversation and company. So, whether you're new to the area, live alone, fancy meeting new people, or simply don't want to eat your evening meal by yourself, we'd love you to pull up a chair and enjoy the benefits of sharing a meal around the table with others.

Everyone is welcome. No booking required. Just come as you are.
Opening Hours on this day will look like this:
10am - 2pm - Mindful Monday
2 - 5 pm - Cafe open for business
5 - 7:30pm - Evening Service
Come for the food, stay for the company and build connections with your community.

We would love for these evening meals to be something that we can offer as part of EVERY Mindful Monday, but in order for us to do that we need your support. By showing up and taking part in these initiatives now, you help us to create what the community needs moving forwards.
