Five years ago today, Sir David Amess was murdered while doing what he had done for almost 40 years: serving the people who elected him.
He never stopped showing up for them. On the day his life was taken, he was there once again, listening and helping, just as he always had.
Today we remember a much-loved colleague and friend. Above all, our thoughts are with his wife and children, who carry his loss every day.
