If you're attending one of our First Aid courses prepare to bandage the person next to you, act out role play scenarios and practice CPR and using AEDs on a lifelike practice manikin.

Someone at work is having a severe allergic reaction (anaphylaxis). Would you know what to do?

- Call 999
- Ask if they have an epi-pen and use it (instructions are on the side)
- Get them to lie down and raise their legs
- If it's an insect sting, try and remove the stinger if it's still in the skin
- If there's no improvement after 5 mins, use a second epi-pen
