Apologies for the quietness guys but with everything going on to the point that the police are now involved due to harassment, this year has been an absolute joke everytime we post we get slandered online, even though we have passed with flying colours from the RSPCA, Environmental Health and the Police! SENT by the same person but we digress we are still here! Thought we would share with yo some of our recent progress.
Excuse all of the mud as it has been so wet lately it's unavoidable. Believe or not before we started work in here it was lovely and covered in grass. The house needs more work and straightening out and kitted out to deal with the cold but it's certainly getting there.
No animals in it yet but cannot wait to have it up and running

This is just heartbreaking how are reds meant to recover if we keep fuelling the problem by reintroducing greys which is highly illegal and can end up with a hefty fine or prison sentence. Honestly baffles me how people can be so ignorant

The groups protect red squirrels by trapping greys but say some are released and equipment damaged.

These poor babies people who are cruel against wildlife especially protected species should be ashamed of themselves for such acts of cruelty.
What doesn't help these amazing and highly intelligent animals is ridiculous news headlines like killer otters on the loose in Cumbris, I have had the privilege when qualifying my foundation degree on wildlife rehabilitation an otter cub came into the centre and it was such a rare privilege.
We should be protected all native species as they all play an essential role in the ecosystem.

The cubs are abandoned at a roadside in a "planned and cruel" act.

Just some of the best memories in recent years of my life from going to university at kendal college, visiting south Africa on a conservation trip with them, to working with the Cumbria Wildlife Trust and nd everything in between. The last couple of years have been a rollercoaster, but I wouldn't change anything for the world.
There is so much more to come and some new exciting opportunities in the pipeline watch this space

Hi all sorry we have been quiet lately, with everything going on we haven't been able to post much lately but we are still rescuing had a racing pigeon brought to us this evening, in a little bit of shock, but lucky to be alive no breaks just a few feathered and superficial scratches. Reported to the royal pigeon association and will soon be back with his owner

A follow on from the previous post we had a lovely visit from the RSPCA and we passed with flying colours. They had a report of a pigeon with welfare concerns. Also now logged with the police.
Hope everyone is having a great day and thank you for all of your kind words and support St this time you're all amazing.
