Please take some time to complete this survey to influence a future funding bid.
Cumbria County Council are undertaking this research to build upon findings from our Local Cycling and Walking Infrastructure Plans (LCWIPs), helping to identify barriers to cycling and walking across Barrow and Carlisle, and to understand peoples’ views on a range of proposed activities to support active travel uptake.

Please take a few minutes to take our survey.

Dog walkers are an important part of the community that enjoys and cares for sand dunes.

Our Dynamic Dunescapes team will be out and about on the coastline at Sandscale Haws throughout April with the National Trust, chatting to you about the new ‘Paws for Thought’ campaign 🐾 which encourages you and your pooch pals to enjoy these landscapes while also helping us make them a safer home for a wildlife.

We’ll be joined by Morecambe Bay Partnership and the Life on the Edge project to talk about the fantastic Birds of the Bay project.

Get a free brew, grab some doggy treats and learn about our coastal wildlife and how you can help! 👉 https://wtru.st/PawsForThought

In the meantime, please continue to help to protect rare and specialist wildlife through the breeding season by paying close attention to signs on site

We're aware that a number of recycling containers have not been emptied today.

To ensure our contractor collects your recycling, please ensure that all recycling materials are clean and dry when placed out for collection.

Dirty containers contaminate the recycling which makes it unusable.

Please remove any contamination and present your recycling on the next collection day.
