Jo jingles this week was all about Noah’s ark, the children enjoyed building the ark for the animals, using their gross motor skills.The children explored the different sounds of the instrument maracas and the cymbals, the children followed simple instructions listening very carefully.
The children went on a walk listening to the different sounds they could hear.
Colours of the rainbow the children were able to recognise the different colours during the song.

After exploring every possible option, we must sadly announce that our pre-school will be closing due to financial pressures that we can no longer overcome.

For the last 60 years Barrowby Pre-School has been more than a place of learning — it has been a community. We are deeply grateful to every child, parent, and staff member who has been part of our story.

We would like to thank the local authority, Barrowby Parish Council, the Barrowby Football Club & Barrowby Cricket Club for their support.

We will continue to communicate with families about the next steps and support the families to find alternative early years settings. Thank you for your support during this difficult time.

Jo jingles this week was all about emotions, the children had to say what each coloured picture was when it came to emotions.
Sad, Happy, Angry or Calm.
The children explored the bells, copying the actions led by Marj, before dancing to “how do you feel today”.
The children then explored the sound of the tambourine here the four different elements that the children had been practicing each week became emotions. Quiet - sad, loud - happy, slow - tired fast - angry .
The children each then found a partner or adult and it was “row your boat” time , where the music got faster and faster as they rowed.
Before finishing off with “sleeping bunnies”

Final piece of the butterfly all ready for the “Garden of hope” Evelyn butterfly effect
The children have really enjoyed creating the different bright colours to represent hope, peace and love.

The children have been using their fine motor skills to make small marks and carefully decorate the butterfly with bright colours a symbol of happiness.
