**Please see below correspondance received from North Lincolnshire Council. All queries or concerns are to be directed to North Lincolnshire Council, Highways Division**
I am emailing to inform you that North Lincolnshire Council Projects Team will be carrying out this year’s Surface Dressing Programme. The works are scheduled for Barton to Barrow (A1077 between barton and barrow upon humber), to take place on 25th June to remove studs, surface dressing and lock and chip will take place on 3rd July and 14th July (weather dependent) And Maltkiln Road, Barton to take place from 28th June* however this date will be changed to avoid the car meet and 9th July (weather dependent).
Letters will be sent out this week to residents and businesses directly affected. The resident letter includes a QR code and URL linking to the dedicated surface dressing webpage, where we will publish any date changes, weather related delays, and further information.
Site Extents:
• Barton to Barrow (A1077 between barton and barrow upon humber) - from Wren (Picnic Area) to mini roundabout
• Maltkiln Road, Barton – from Waterside Road to entrance to Waters Edge adopted line
Initial treatment – Surface Dressing:
• Barton to Barrow (A1077 between barton and barrow upon humber) – Stud removal 25th June duration 1 day / Surface Dressing 3rd July duration 1 day
• Maltkiln Road, Barton – Surface dressing 28th June* subject to change due to car meet duration 1 day
These works are weather critical; surface dressing cannot be carried out during wet conditions or when humidity/road temperatures are unsuitable.
Traffic Management:
To ensure public safety, the scheme will be carried out under a full road closure between 07:00 and 18:00 each day (unless otherwise stated). The road will be reopened once the site is deemed safe. Traffic management will be overseen by the contractor during working hours.
Residents will be asked not to park on the road during treatment days and to follow on site instructions from operatives.
Secondary Treatment – Sealing Surface Dressing:
Loose chippings are expected after treatment. A suction sweeper will return 24–48 hours after completion. Additional sweeping may be required depending on traffic levels.
Contractors will return approximately 3-28 days later (weather permitting) to fully seal the surface. Updates will be reflected on the QR-code programme page.
