Even more badges to celebrate!

Three of our cadets attended a training course, where they were able to obtain their bronze wings! We can't wait to see them progress onto silver!

Furthermore another three of our cadets completed their blue road marching. It consisted of a 12km walk on a Saturday then a following 15km walk on the Sunday! What a brilliant achievement.

What a fantastic evening!!

On Friday our squadron association organised a bingo night with a raffle and 60 people attended!! We also raised an amazing £380 for the squadron.

A huge thank you to everyone who attended, donated raffle prizes, contributed and helped make the evening such a success. Your generosity and support mean so much to us.

Every penny raised goes a long way towards supporting our cadets, helping provide opportunities, activities and experiences that make being part of the Air Cadets so special.

National cadet week is here ✈️

During our parade night we asked some of our cadets what their favourite moments have been so far in the organisation. We also asked our newest intake what they most look forward to!

Use this as an opportunity to take a look at some of the things that the Royal Air Force Air Cadets offer, and get some inspiration for your future in the next generation!

🏆 CROSS COUNTRY CHAMPIONS! 🏆

What a brilliant day for our cadets! We're incredibly proud to announce that our squadron came 1st overall in the cross country competition!

A huge well done to our Junior Girls and Senior Boys, who both secured an impressive 3rd place in their categories.

Every cadet gave it their all, showing teamwork and an incredible amount of determination throughout the competition. Most importantly, they represented the squadron brilliantly and should be very proud of themselves!

A thank you to the staff who supported, encouraged and cheered our cadets on throughout the day.

In the lead up to National Cadets Week next week lets celebrate the dedication of one of our very own. Sgt Sam Wright, aswell as devoting his time between two RAFAC squadrons, he volunteered time from his work as a paramedic to the Magical Taxi Tour. Driving his ambulance as part of a convoy of licensed London taxis to take over 200 children, suffering from a range of chronic, debilitating illnesses and life-limiting conditions, on a three-day trip of a lifetime to Disney®️ Paris. What a legend!

A huge congratulations to two of our cadets who have recently received a Jack Petchey award.

Well done to our Flight Sergeant and Corporal on this fantastic achievement. Your hard work and commitment to the squadron have not gone unnoticed by staff and your fellow cadets, as you are both regarded as positive role models.

We are incredibly proud of you, keep up your outstanding record of dedication and support 🏆

Earlier this month we said goodbye to CWO Bailoor. She has done the squadron proud and engaged fully in all that cadets has to offer, culminating in selection for the International Air Cadet Exchange where she represented RAFAC in Australia! We wish her all the best in her future endeavours and hope to see her back at the squadron mess night for a proper send off.

Last Sunday we paid our respects to those brave airmen who gave their lives in the skies above Britain in 1940 they were in our thoughts at the Battle of Britain service in Grays town centre. We are also proud of our 3 cadets who stepped forward and volunteered to deliver the readings.
