Welcome in autumn with this cosy needle-felting workshop at Langdon Nature Discovery Centre.

Design and create your own needle felt autumnal sculptures, or choose form a selection of premade ideas. Whether you're a first-time felter, or you're familiar with the craft, this relaxed and cosy session is a wonderful way to learn, practice, and refine your skills.

Led by local mother-daughter duo Felt and Caboodle, this workshop will introduce you to all the basics with plenty of guidance throughout. For those who are more familiar with felting, you'll be able to build confidence, explore new techniques, and craft in the company of like-minded others. You'll leave the session with a new, or improved, skill and a handmade piece inspired by autumn.

This is the perfect place to slow down, get creative, and celebrate the season.

All materials are provided.

Celebrate the changing season and learn how to create your own unique autumn wreath using a beautiful selection of seasonal foliage, natural textures and dried flowers. With guidance from our experienced host, you’ll discover how to build and style your wreath, creating a beautiful piece to take home and enjoy throughout the autumn months.

No experience needed this workshop is perfect for anyone looking to slow-down, connect with nature, and create something truly unique for their homes.

What's included:
- Seasonal British grown foliage and natural materials
- Expert guidance in a calm and welcoming environment
- Your own handmade wreath to take home.

Come along with a friend, family member or simply treat yourself to a few hours of autumnal creativity.

Spaces are limited, so booking is essential.

There will be a morning session, 10:00-12:00, and an afternoon session 1:00-3:00.

There’s still time to book a ticket on our Fungi Talk & Walk on 11 October!

Join Sarah Manning for a day of learning about all things fungi at Langdon Nature Discovery Park🍄

Sarah is an experienced, self-taught field mycologist who enjoys sharing her love of fungi and encouraging others to appreciate and protect them.

In the morning, you'll learn some basic fungal biology, about the evolutionary history of the kingdom, as well as the fundamentals of identifying fungi! Then, in the afternoon, you'll join Sarah on a walk around our reserve to put this into practice!

Due to essential work being carried out by Essex & Suffolk Water, on Monday 28th September our visitor centre will not be open until 1pm. There will be no access to toilets before this time.

The Refill Cabin will not be at Langdon on Monday.

Our car park will be open as usual.
