🏷️ Please Label Everything! 🎒

Lost property can quickly become a mountain of jumpers, coats, water bottles, lunch boxes and school equipment! 😮‍💨

A simple name label makes all the difference💙

Please remember to label all of your child’s belongings with their name - especially coats, jumpers, PE kits, water bottles and bags.

If an item does end up in lost property, having a clear name on it means we can quickly identify it and return it to its student rather than it remaining unclaimed 🙌

It only takes a moment to add a name, but it can save a lot of lost belongings! 🏷️✨

🌟 Welcome to The Costello School Year 7! 🌟

Today marks the beginning of a very special journey as we proudly welcome our new Year 7 students to The Costello School and to the Bohunt Education Trust 💙

A first day of secondary school is a big milestone - new classrooms, new faces, new routines and so many new opportunities. We know there may be excitement, nerves, anticipation (and perhaps a few butterflies!) along the way, but our wonderful Year 7s have already taken their first steps towards making this school their own.

Over the coming weeks and months, they’ll build friendships, discover new passions, grow in confidence and begin to find their place within our school community. There will be challenges too, but they won’t face them alone. Our staff are here to guide, encourage and support them every step of the way 💫

And to our parents and carers, you can be incredibly proud. Your children are beginning an exciting new chapter, surrounded by a team who are committed to helping them feel safe, supported, valued and ready to thrive.

We are still absolutely bursting with pride after our GCSE Results Day celebrations! 💙🎉

The Class of 2026 have achieved something truly special - 79 grade 9s across the year group and more than a quarter of all GCSE entries awarded grades 7–9. But the real story sits behind the numbers: months of hard work, resilience, determination and a community that lifts each other up.

Every student contributed to this incredible moment and every success. Class of 2026, you’ve inspired us, impressed us and made us unbelievably proud. 💙

What a wonderful couple of days we’ve had at Summer School! 🌟

It has been fantastic to see our new Year 7 students, joining us in September, settle in so well and really immerse themselves in all the activities on offer. From learning new things to making new friends, they have embraced every opportunity with enthusiasm.

They have certainly been putting our school values into action: Enjoy, Respect, Achieve. 💙

We’re looking forward to welcoming our new Year 7 students back in September as they begin their exciting journey with us! 📚✨

We are still absolutely bursting with pride after our GCSE Results Day celebrations! 🎉💙

The Class of 2026 have achieved so much, with 79 grade 9s awarded across the year group and more than a quarter of all GCSE entries achieving grades 7–9. But behind every result is a huge amount of hard work, resilience and determination – and we could not be prouder.

A special shout-out to some truly exceptional individual achievements:

🌟 Sofia D – nine grade 9s! A remarkable clean sweep of the very highest grade in every GCSE she took, placing her amongst an elite group of the highest-achieving students nationally. What an incredible achievement! 🤩

🌟 Mary Jane – six grade 9s and three grade 8s!

🌟 Izabelle – nine grade 9s alongside two further top grades!

🌟 Max – seven grade 9s, three grade 8s and one grade 7!

🌟 Jasper – an outstanding collection of grades alongside a Level 2 Distinction, all while balancing his studies with life as a rising international badminton star! 🏸

Today is a big milestone, and we want to wish all of our students the very best as they collect their GCSE results. No matter what your envelope holds, remember that these results are just one step on your journey and we are incredibly proud of everything you've achieved to get here. 💙

✅ Authorisation must come directly from the student in writing, via their school email or a signed letter
❌ Parents/carers cannot provide authorisation
⏰ No requests can be accepted on Results Day
🪪 The nominated person must bring photographic ID when collecting the results

What a fantastic achievement! We are incredibly proud to celebrate Sam, a former student of The Costello School, on his fantastic results at Queen Mary’s College! 👏🎓
