Last Friday, our members attended the Bath Conservatives Annual Dinner, a fantastic evening to socialise with and celebrate Conservatives here in Bath. A particular highlight of the evening was a speech by Sir James Cleverly, ( ) Shadow Secretary of State for Housing, former Home Secretary and Foreign Secretary. It was great to hear from him how welcome young people’s perspectives are in the Conservative Party. Our President was fortunate enough to address the event, to share BUCA’s perspective on several issues - and the local members were immensely receptive of our thoughts and opinions. A big thank you to all the Bath Conservatives team and everyone who helped organise such a memorable evening.

Yesterday we had the pleasure of showcasing BUCA at the University of Bath’s SU Groups fair! It was fantastic to engage with so many students, holding a range of political affiliations and none. We were particularly struck by the energy and enthusiasm of the students that we spoke to, and it’s clear that many feel passionately about politics.

🍾 Last night, outgoing President Cameron Marshall passed the bottle to incoming President Max Norman at our year-end dinner.

The bottle — a House of Commons Colombard Sauvignon signed by former PM Rishi Sunak — is a tradition in the making: to be passed from president to president each year, and staying firmly corked.

Massive thanks to former President Ronaldo Butrus for hosting, and for being the one who brought our society back to life.

🌳 It was a pleasure to attend the Bath Conservatives Annual Dinner last Friday, a fantastic evening with great company and engaging speeches.

Thank you to Rebecca Pow, former DEFRA minister, for delivering such an insightful talk, and to Steve Smith, our mayoral WECA candidate, for sharing his vision with our members.

The highlight of the evening was the raffle, and we as a society were grateful to win a few prizes, including a special bottle signed by former Prime Minister, Rt Hon Rishi Sunak MP. A big thank you to Bath Conservatives and everyone who helped organise such a memorable evening.
