Bath University Politics Society is for all undergrad postgrad students from any department with an interest in politics! We offer:
Socials: We frequently organise wicked social events and nights out in Bath and on campus that will definitely help you get to know more people on your course. Be sure to join our members for a post-politics pint after speaker events! Last year, members enjoyed socials varying from Christmas and end of year formal dinners to themed club nights out. External speaker events: We also host interesting speakers to give talks and engage you on numerous issues. Last year we organised talks with London Mayoral candidate George Galloway, BBC Security correspondent Frank Gardner, former Minister Vince Cable, and former Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg, to name but a few. We look forward to welcoming many more engaging and provocative speakers this semester. Trips: The society also embarks on trips throughout the year to destinations of political intrigue! For our ISB trip 2017, we had a super time in Berlin, exploring places of historical and political interest as well as the night life. We're all embarking on a day trip to the Houses of Parliament in February. To find out what we're up to next, join our members page (bargain membership of only £5) https://www.facebook.com/groups/195171017563243/ for all the latest updates.
