We had a wonderful (and very busy) weekend joining with other churches in the city to celebrate Bath Pride.

On Saturday, the inclusive churches in Bath joined together to march in solidarity with the LGBT+ community in our city and to show the radical love of God. After the march, we had a stall where people could come to find out more about the inclusive churches and ministries in Bath, inviting them also to take part in a community art project (we hope to share more about that soon).

On Sunday afternoon, the inclusive churches in Bath joined together once more to mark Pride with a Pride Celebration service held at Oasis Church Bath. Pam from St Stephen's and our Associate Priest Debbie represented our Benefice during the service by delivering the readings.

Come and hear all about the history, the dramas, triumphs and challenges of the Beacon of Lansdown, aka St Stephen’s Church. Punctuating Bath’s northern slopes with its distinctive floodlit tower, there are so many stories to be told about the church’s richly decorated interior. Visit for a guided tour plus home baked refreshments. What’s not to like? See you soon!

And that's a wrap for us at Bath Pride today! Thank you to everyone who came to speak to us, took part in our community art project, and especially to all of our volunteers who made the day possible. We look forward to sharing more about the stall over the next few days... but we aren't done just yet!

Join us at 2pm tomorrow at Oasis Church Bath as we come together with other inclusive churches in the city to celebrate diversity, community, and the boundless love of God.

Expect songs, poetry, prayers, a short talk, and the company of others.

We can't wait for Bath Pride tomorrow! This year we are joining in with other inclusive and affirming churches under the banner of ‘Affirming Christians'.

Look out for us on the march, and come and see us on our stall in the grounds of the Holbourne Museum afterwards. Our stall will contain information about all the LGBT+ affirming churches in Bath as well as free badges and the opportunity to get involved in a collaborative art project! We look forward to seeing you there!

A lovely moment as Rev Debbie Pow dedicates this bench in St Stephen’s garden to the memory of Roger Sansbury, a greatly respected and much loved member of our church. ‘Come to me, all you that are weary and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.’ Matthew 11:28.
