The annual anti abortion demo on London Road changed their date!

Twenty years of the same date every year, and increasing public dislike made them try and sneak a demo past without anyone noticing.
But notice we did! And last minute, with no organisation, we had vast public support and they packed up early. Thanks to everyone who came along.

Meta has reportedly removed or limited dozens of accounts linked to abortion access providers, LGBTQ+ groups and reproductive health organisations in recent weeks, in what campaigners have described as one of the largest censorship crackdowns on its platforms in years.

According to Repro Uncensored, an NGO monitoring digital censorship around gender, health and justice, it has recorded 210 cases of removals or severe restrictions on Meta accounts so far this year, up from 81 in 2024.

While many of the groups impacted are based in the UK and Europe, groups supporting women across Asia, Latin America and the Middle East have also been caught up in the measures, raising concerns about a broader push to curb reproductive health and q***r content.

However, a Meta spokesperson denied the claims and told the Guardian: “Every organisation and individual on our platforms is subject to the same set of rules, and any claims of enforcement based on group affiliation or advocacy are baseless.”

This is true. Money from right wing groups (many based in the USA) is being pumped into all groups that wish to police bodies.
Fighting for access to healthcare is vital, whether it's your own healthcare or other people's.

You know the people who want to prevent abortions want to police femininity in every way possible. I say this as a woman with a womb, I've been spat on and called a trans freak. Because they assumed short hair and baggy clothes meant trans. The people who don't want us to access abortions are the same ones who will attack women they don't deem feminine enough to be in a bathroom labelled for women.

Anti abortion activists want us barefoot, pregnant, and wearing dresses. It doesn't stop at abortion, it's everything about our bodies and appearance. That's why trans rights and women's rights are the same fight.

There's a lot of misinformation being pumped into the abortion rights debate at the minute.
Some people genuinely believe that decriminalization means abortion up to birth, and don't realise they're parroting trolls.
