Care Assistant – Morning & Lunchtime Shifts Blackburn/Whitburn
Join our friendly double-up care team!

We are looking for a caring, reliable and compassionate Care Assistant to support our clients during morning and lunchtime visits.

This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference to people’s lives while working as part of a supportive double-up team. You will work alongside another care professional to provide safe, respectful and person-centred care in clients’ own homes.

The role includes:
Supporting clients with personal care and daily routines
Helping with washing, dressing and continence care
Preparing meals and assisting with eating and drinking
Supporting medication prompts, where required
Providing companionship and reassurance
Maintaining dignity, independence and choice
Working closely with your double-up colleague and the wider care team
Shift pattern
Morning and lunchtime shifts are available on a rota basis.
*Week 1 Monday, Thursday & Friday
*Week 2 Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday & Sunday
The role may suit someone looking for regular part-time hours with the opportunity for additional shifts.

Reliable, punctual and professional
Respectful of clients’ dignity and privacy
A good communicator and team player
Comfortable providing personal care
Experienced in care, or willing to complete full training
Full training and ongoing support will be provided.

Role Responsibilities:
Supporting individuals with daily living tasks in their own homes
Promoting independence, dignity, and wellbeing
Providing companionship and emotional support
Following care plans and maintaining high standards of care
Rolling shift pattern to offer both work and home life balance:
Week 1 Mon Thurs and Friday
Week 2 Tues, Wed, Sat and Sun
What We’re Looking For:
A kind, caring, and compassionate nature
Reliability and excellent time-keeping
Good communication skills
A genuine desire to support people in their own homes
We are currently looking for drivers at the moment
Previous care experience is welcome but not essential – full training provided
What We Offer:
£13. 25 per hour paid 4 weekly
Mileage paid at 35p per mile 4 weekly
Fully funded SVQ Level 3 qualification

After our yearly unannounced Care Inspection last week we have been graded 5's (Very Good) across the board for the Third year running. Coast has been operating for 3 years and we have maintained our high standard of Care delivery from the day we started operating. This is due to the staff we have at Coast ensuring our Clients are given consistency and the highest standard of care. We are so pleased that the Outstanding work our staff do has been reflected in our inspection, Well done and thank you to all the amazing Coast Care Staff and Clients ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Congratulations🎉 to Hayley Dornan and Christine Marson on being awarded this months outstanding achievement🏆 award. Hayley and Christine have really went out there way this last 4 weeks to support and help Coast with picking up shifts very last minute to ensure all clients receive continuity of care we are really grateful for all your extra support well done ladies 👏 and very well deserved 🥰

We have exciting new vacancies within Coast Care!

We are looking for a double up team to go on our Broxburn double run on a shift pattern good hours and Paid at £13.25 per hour.

We are also looking for a staff member to join our Bathgate dbl team on a shift pattern £13.25 per hour.

We have a vacancy on our East Calder single run on a shift pattern £13.25 per hour.

We have a Whitburn single run with a vacancy for a teas and beds on a shift pattern and also a Morning and lunches on a shift pattern £13.25 per hour.

We are also looking for weekend Bank staff paid at £13.25 per hour.

Coast pay mileage 0.35p per mile.

Congratulations 🎉 To (Louise Allan) and (Kaitlyn Sadler) for being awarded the May outstanding achievement award. Both ladies showed great professionalism especially while dealing with a traumatic situation, how they both dealt with the situation and were there for the client and there family was amazing we as a company are so proud of you both and cant thank you both enough for how you dealt with the situation. The family have also praised you both and couldn't thank you both enough. You both also continued on with the rest of your run to ensure the rest of you clients received the care they needed even after dealing with such a traumatic situation.
