What if the climate crisis is closer to home than we realise? Join us for a free community evening featuring a powerful 50-minute film first presented at Westminster Central Hall, bringing together leading experts to explain the realities of climate and nature breakdown and the opportunities for positive action. As part of a nationwide programme, screenings are taking place in communities across Britain.

Seaford Library - Friday 29 May 2pm

In partnership with Applause Rural Touring

Packed full of interactive games, playful music and lots of laughs for all the family. Augustine Fogwoode might be the world's MOST enthusiastic mushroom enthusiast! She is on a quest to make sure everyone knows about the brilliance of fungi: their scientific superpowers and amazing abilities. But it's just her and her puppet friend Goldie. She might just need a few more fun-guys to make it happen. Join the party and discover how fungi grow, connect and help the natural world, including us humans. The Mushroom Show is one person's mission to build a community... and maybe it'll become your mission too? Award winning Scratchworks Theatre Company combines science, music and participatory activities for families to experience together.

A Message from the Waste & Recycling Team-

The Waste and Recycling Team at Rother District Council have requested that residents of the High Street please put rubbish bags out in the morning of rubbish collection day, rather than the night before.

The images below are just a few examples of the mess that animals have made.

'Putting bin bags out in the morning could potentially avoid mess that takes up a lot of time for the barrow to clean up. It is a difficult situation to manage particularly now when the seagull are nesting and have more mouths to feed.'

We thank you for any help you can give to keep Battle clean and tidy.

This summer, Battle is giving nature a break.

By mowing less and letting grass grow a little longer, we’re helping bees, butterflies and wildlife thrive - while also protecting green spaces from drying out.

You’ll start to see longer grass across parts of the town. That’s not neglect - it’s deliberate.

Join us: mow less frequently, leave a patch. Every garden makes a difference.
