Huge congratulations to our wonderful Member of Parliament Joy Morrissey MP on her appointment to the Shadow Cabinet as Shadow Minister for Women and Equalities!

It is a huge privilege to have been asked by Kemi Badenoch to join the Shadow Cabinet as Shadow Minister for Women and Equalities.

I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to take on this role and to play my part in holding Labour to account on issues that matter to women, girls and families across the country.

As we prepare for the next Conservative government and our departure from the ECHR, it is vital that we have strong and coherent equality laws that work for the British people.

There is a lot of work to do, and I’m looking forward to getting started.
