GCSE RESULTS
Following on from last week’s fine set of A Level and BTEC results, we are delighted to announce another impressive set of GCSE and Level 2 results this year.
These reflect the tremendous hard work students have put in over the course of their studies, alongside the high-quality teaching and tireless support provided by staff which has played such a pivotal role in securing these outcomes.
There was much euphoria, and some relief, as the long summer wait was over and envelopes could be ripped open allowing students to finally celebrate and enjoy their well-deserved successes!
Mr Prendergast, Head of Year 11, was thrilled with the outcomes: “Our congratulations to all the students for their individual effort and dedication, but also for how fantastically they worked as a community of students, supporting one another and showing real determination, commitment and ambition to achieve these wonderful successes. It has been a privilege to be their Head of Year.”
Alongside the many outstanding individual performances, the following students deserve particular congratulations for gaining the equivalent of eight or more A grades and securing the top Grade 9 in several subjects: Seth (7 x Grade 9’s), Hardy (5 x Grade 9’s), Bella (4 x Grade 9’s), Frankie, Jo and Cale (3 x Grade 9’s).
Keith Hales, Headteacher, said: “Today is about celebrating our talented, well-rounded and highly qualified young people. I am full of admiration for the way in which the students have approached their studies and extend my thanks to our supportive parent community, as well as to our skilled staff. Collectively and individually, the students have done superbly, laying really strong foundations for the next stage of their educational journey which promises to be very exciting.”
Sarah Walters, Head of Sixth Form, was equally proud: “We are very much looking forward to working with this cohort of students, many of whom are staying with us and moving on up into our Sixth Form. Any student who is still unsure about where to pursue their studies next year is invited to contact the school to discuss possible A-Level and Level 3 options.”
