Direct Cremations are increasing in popularity and for some people they are the right choice.

Our tvs, radios and magazines are being flooded with companies with multi million pound advertising budgets advertising their Direct Cremation services. What a lot of people don’t know is that your local Funeral Director can offer a similar service, with a much more personal touch for often less money.

These national companies are making people feel like a burden on their loved ones when they pass away. The Funeral is an important part of the grieving process.

Please spend a few minutes watching this video which highlights the importance of talking about funeral arrangements before it’s too late.

Further to our recent post about the sad passing of Margaret, we would like to share details of her funeral.

Margaret’s funeral will take place on Monday 20th April at 2:30pm at All Saints Church, Merton followed by refreshments here at The Malt Scoop Inn.

All who knew Margaret are welcome to join us in remembering her and supporting Ron and the family at this time ❤️

Today we had the honour of taking a lovely lady on her last journey, the family had requested we go to Instow for a Hockings Ice Cream by the sea as it was her favourite thing to do. So of course we obliged.

We want to make sure every funeral is as individual as the life that went before it.

Unfortunately due to the length of the hearse, there was no where to park so we had to stop on the double yellow lines for 10 minutes and of course the traffic warden tried to issue us a parking ticket! Thankfully he understood and allowed us to fulfill her last wish.
