Toddler Pool Closing for Winter

We’ve tried our best to keep the Toddler and Splash Pools clean, free of debris and heated for the few using them. But sadly it’s taking a huge number of hours due to the continuously shedding Silver Birch trees.

With this in mind, we have made the decision to close the Toddler and Splash pools for the winter after this weekend. The pools will be available until this Sunday - then they’ll hibernate until Spring 27.

Don’t worry, you can still bring your little ones along - the shallow end of the main pool is the same depth as the toddler pool, and toddlers are welcome at relaxed and fun swims.

Our main pool and timetable continues at 28°C until (at least) January 3rd. It’s been fantastic to see so many of you enjoying the autumnal swims in our warm water this year

That’s right, the Blue Events CHRISTMAS Swims are back this year!

Sunday 27th Dec 8:00 and 12:30.
Monday 28th Dec 8:00.

And this year the pool temperature will be a toasty 28°C, plus sauna and cold plunge pool available too.

Open to anyone 13+ and includes a free hot drink

One week remaining to sign up for our (almost) end of season endurance swim‼️

3, 6 or 12 hour swim options, as well as inteval or continuous 🏊🏻‍♂️

And because we're nice, we won't even make you swim the full time if you don't want to, signed up for 3 hours but only want to swim 2? Fine by us 😇

Remembering Jennifer Langeskov

Jennifer was a long-time supporter and much-loved friend of us all at Beccles Lido. She swam regularly during the Summer and the Winter.

In fact, Jennifer learned to swim in the old pool - the annexed off river!

Sadly and most unexpectedly, Jennifer died peacefully and in the midst of living on Friday, 21 August, aged 82. She was swimming in the Lido until the very end.

Jennifer’s funeral will be at St Michaels on Thursday, September 24th at 12 noon

Jennifer’s sons have asked that, instead of flowers, donations please be made to the Lido, with an appropriate use of those funds to then be decided, in memoriam.

Aquacise continues into October!

We still have 4 Aquacise classes a week next week

From week beginning 28th September, we will continue to run Monday evenings class with Will and Friday mornings class with Joe

So no need to hang up those noodles just yet 😉

For the first time ever, Beccles Lido will remain at 28°C into the winter! ♨️🔥🌡️

Not only that, but we will open daily right through until at least 3rd January 2027*
(*except for Xmas Day, Boxing Day and event days Oct 3, Dec 27 and Dec 28).

31-day passes will continue and prices will remain unchanged.
Summer season passes will still expire on 1st November though.

We hope this trial period will be successful and we can carry on at 28°C right through Jan, Feb and March too.

Roadwork warning 🚧⛔️

Starting tomorrow 7th September, a section of Puddingmoor will be closed for 3 weeks - through to 25th September.

To access the Lido and the Waveney Meadow car park by car or bike, you will need to enter Puddingmoor from the town centre/bus station end.

You will not be able to access us from Bungay Road end (unless on foot)
