Commenting on the HMIC report on fi****ms licensing, the PCC has issued the following statement:

He further commented:

"This is an important HMICFRS report on national fi****ms licensing and the need for fundamental change.

"A national approach is required with national data base and verification.

"I am particularly keen for regulations to be tightened for the private sale and exchange of guns".
