On Monday we have Remember When - Dementia Therapy back in with us for a fabulous reminesence session then on Friday we have local Councillor Micheal Donnelly with us holding a focus group for our service users around what they feeling the area could benefit from and what it's missing!

Don't forget our lunch club continues to run Monday - Friday 11am-2pm.

🌼 First Minister Designate Michelle O'Neill visited our lunch club before Christmas and joined us for a game of bingo!

Michelle thanked us for the ongoing work community organisations like ourselves do day in, day out - often with limited funding but for the greater good.

Ardmonagh Family and Community Group are providing hot meals at their daily lunch club

Dunelm @ Boucher donating the much needed equipment for our Winter Lunch Club starting 1st November 2022. This initiative will see up to 40 elderly service users benefiting daily from a warm meal and a bit of craic so that they do not have to choose between heating or eating this winter due to the ongoing cost of living crisis.

Our main aim is to promote social interaction and relationships in a bid to tackle isolation and lonely as well as relieving a bit of pressure for some of the most vulnerable this year. 🤝

Another fantastic day with Sandra reminiscing and talking about the old days.

Our service users thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to talk about their memories from long ago.

We even had Maureen bring in the gas mask she would have had to wear to and from school many moons ago....

Our service users loved the sessions so much they have asked for Sandra to return!

Let's get a further date in the diary!

Reminiscing this morning with Ardmonagh community group I heard some great stories .Fined half a crown for pkaying with a sock ball in the streets on Sunday , all sorts of bed warmers and using hot bricks wrapped in blankets , bread and linseed poultices , 10 woodbine ci******es for 8d .
