The Scottish & North Irish Yeomanry - combat Recce Northern Ireland The SNIY is a Reserve Light Cavalry Regiment with a Combat Recce role.

B Squadron (North Irish Horse) of the Scottish North Irish Yeomanry is a reserve light cavalry regiment based in Northern Ireland with troops located in Belfast and Coleraine. Specialising in mounted and dismounted recce, by day and night in all weather conditions we train to find, observe, influence and where required fix and strike the enemy. Equipped with the latest night vision aids and platfo

rm weapon systems, we have recently converted to the JACKAL vehicle, in which we have the perfect blend of manoeuvre, protection and firepower. Opportunities exist across the Regiment to train as a gunner, radio operator, driver, sharp shooter, commander, medic, chef, clerk or physical training instructor.
