Last Wednesday 18/03 CYM Belfast hosted a rally against the war on Iran. We reject any notions that the war on Iran is in the interest of anything but the profit of imperialist powers.

Groups such as RSYM, BDS, and QUBPA joined us to stand in solidarity with the people of Iran, as well as the global anti-imperialist resistance.

Today CYM members joined the PA Quds Day rally outside the Lanyon building. On Quds day we continue to advocate for the ...

Today Belfast CYM members attended the International Working Women's day rally organised by . We call on all working women globally to unite against capitalism, war, and exploitation!

04/03/2026

This International Working Women’s Day, we call on all working-class women and youth to join the Connolly Youth Movement as we take to the streets in Belfast, Cork, and Dublin.

On 8th March, we mark the 116th anniversary of the day's conception. Be it textile workers in Petrograd to the mill workers of Belfast, we follow on the militant struggles of women who refuse to accept exploitation, gendered violence, or political repression.

Across Ireland we continue, as working-class women's emancipation is the struggle for socialism!

In Belfast, our members are gathering at Writer's Square from 11:30am (this Saturday). In Cork, we will be at Grand Parade from 2:30pm following up the protest with a screening of Bread & Roses at the IWU Office at 6:30pm on Sunday. Our Dublin comrades will also meet on Sunday at 1pm at Barnardo's Square, and in the evening hold a talk and table quiz at Peadar Brown's from 8:00pm.

Bígí ann! 🇮🇪🚩

Working Women, Unite against Capitalism, War, and Exploitation!

Queens University Belfast is threatening to expel a second member of the QUB 3 over technicalities, continuing their targeted attacks on students who dare to expose their complicity in the genocide on Palestine.

Recently FOI requests revealed that Queens' promise of divestment from Israeli companies, as well as companies on the UN HRC blacklist, was a lie.

While Queens admin put on a progressive and tolerant face, their core interest is maintaining maximum profit returns, and positive relations, with companies in the business of genocide.

We urge all QUB staff and students to stand in solidarity, what Queens administration gets away with today determines what they can do to you tomorrow.

Saoirse don Phalaístin.

Today, Palestinian solidarity activists, including a member of the CYM, disrupted Invest NI's annual staff conference held in Waterfront Hall. This event is used to hold 1:1 meetings with their client companies, many of which supply arms to the Zionist entity in Palestine. Invest NI, run by Sinn Féin minister and Brit lackey Caoimhe Archibald, has handed almost £20 million of public money in grants to companies — including Moyola Precision Engineering, RLC and Survitec — that produce components for F-35 fighter jets used in the Zionist entity's bombardment of Gaza.

This exposes the links of the 6 county statelet with the occupation of Palestine — Sinn Féin, much like they serve as administrators of British colonial rule here in Ireland, are also helping supply the arms for the genocide of Palestinians. The CYM will use all its efforts to frustrate the imperialist war machine and pressure institutions to sever all its links with Zionism and arms manufacturers.

CYM activists with members of QUB Palestine Assembly occupied the Lanyon building in Queen's University today. Queen's has tens of millions of pounds invested in companies that supply Israel's genocide. Despite making claims that they've begun divestment in response to pressure from their students, FOI requests have proven that these claims are false.

We won't back down until Queen's ends their complicity in genocide! Free Palestine!
