DUP DELIVERS POSITIVE CHANGE FOR CASTLEREAGH SOUTH RESIDENTS

Following lengthy lobbying by the DUP Group on Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council, I am delighted to inform residents that the new 3-bin waste collection system will now be rolled out over the coming months. βœ…

This new harmonised system will bring consistency right across the council area and will see households in Castlereagh South move to:

πŸ—‘οΈ Black/Blue bin , General Waste
♻️ Green bin , Recyclable Waste
πŸ‚ Brown bin , Food & Garden Waste

All bins will be 240l not the proposed 180l that all other parties in Castlereagh South had agreed to before the last election.

This is a change many local residents and the DUP have been requesting for some time following the ongoing difficulties and concerns surrounding the current Bryson kerbie box scheme.

I welcome the decision taken at last night’s council meeting and look forward to seeing the implementation and harmonisation of the council bin policy across our city. πŸ‘

Residents in Castlereagh South will no longer feel like second-class citizens within LCCC, and working alongside my DUP colleagues, I am pleased that we have been able to help deliver this positive change for YOU.

I will continue to keep residents updated regarding the rollout process and implementation dates as further details become available. πŸ‘‡
