in 1985, the search for RMS Titanic reached a major turning point. 🚢

While searching the North Atlantic seabed, Dr Robert Ballard and his team spotted one of Titanic’s boilers, the first major piece of the ship to be identified during the expedition.

The discovery confirmed they had finally located the wreck of RMS Titanic, more than 73 years after she sank on her maiden voyage.

Our Quiet Sessions offer a more relaxed visit to the Titanic Experience, with reduced noise, softer lighting and a calmer atmosphere for those who may find the usual visitor environment overwhelming or simply prefer a quieter experience.

Our next session takes place on Sunday 20th September, but dates are available right through until March 2027, giving you plenty of opportunities to plan a visit that suits you.

Explore the story of Titanic at your own pace in an environment designed to make your visit more comfortable.

It was great to see the Titanic Slipways come to life for Earth Child, a spectacular outdoor performance as part of this year’s Belfast Mela programme.

With aerial performance, fire, music, dance, light and myth, Earth Child told a story of balance, belonging and hope!
