🎖️ Enniskillen Open says a fond farewell to Cdt CSgt Livingstone & Cdt CSgt Sheridan 🎖️

Last Wednesday marked the final training night for Cdt CSgt Livingstone and Cdt CSgt Sheridan as they officially age out of the Army Cadet Force.

It’s only fitting that two cadets who have shared so many memories, challenges, achievements, and adventures throughout their cadet careers would finish that journey side by side.

Over the years, both have grown into exceptional senior cadets, showing outstanding commitment, leadership, character, and determination. They have been a huge credit to Enniskillen Open, A Company, and the Battalion, and they will be greatly missed.

🏆 Highlights from the past year include:

🔹 Battalion Shooting
🔹 Skiing with the ACF
🔹 Military Skills Team

🏅 1st Battalion Tripoli Cup
🥇 Champions – 2024 & 2025

🏅 38 (Irish) Brigade Military Skills – Calcutta Cup
🥇 Winners – 2024
🥇 Gold Medal Team – 2025
🥇 Champion March Team
🥇 Champion Shoot Team

…and many more achievements along the way.

OC A Company, Major Dodds, thanked both cadets for their hard work, dedication, and commitment to both A Company and the Army Cadet Force, wishing them every success and happiness for the future.

Enniskillen Open is incredibly proud of everything they have achieved and knows they will continue to excel in whatever path they choose next. A special thank you also to Mrs H for arranging a fitting presentation to mark the occasion.

👏 Thank you for everything, gentlemen — you will always be welcome back at Enniskillen Open ACF.

A big thanks also goes to some of our instructors from the DofE team who are also camping out. Ensuring full training is carried out and remotely supervise the cadets on their journey.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE A LORD LIEUTENANT’S CADET

Over the coming weeks, we’ll be sharing the stories behind the dress uniforms and highlighting the young people who - as Northern Ireland’s Lord Lieutenant Cadets for 2026 – represent their cadet organisations and their communities across the province.

Being selected as a Lord Lieutenant’s Cadet is a significant honour. It recognises commitment, leadership, dedication and a spirit of service within the cadet forces, and it calls for continued commitment and dedication from these young people as they fulfil these roles.

These cadets will support their Lord Lieutenant at official engagements and ceremonial events while acting as ambassadors for young people across Northern Ireland.

But beyond the ceremonies and uniforms, each cadet has their own story.

Follow us in the coming weeks as we showcase these amazing young people and what it means to them to be a Lord Lieutenant’s Cadet!

The B Company 2 Stars had an action packed Battle Camp over the weekend, covering harbour drills, breaking contact, patrolling, and finishing with a blank firing exercise.

Throughout the weekend, cadets pushed themselves out of their comfort zones, building confidence, strengthening teamwork, and sharpening their fieldcraft skills along the way. Combined with the fantastic weather, it made for an unforgettable weekend of training in the sunshine! ☀️👏

This past weekend, B Company excelled in our Camouflage and Concealment training, earning 3 star for our efforts!
