Don’t forget to book your child’s school dinners on the **School Money app**.

📱 If you have any issues with the School Money app, please send your child’s teacher a **Seesaw message** regarding their dinners for this week.

If you are **not yet connected to your child’s Seesaw account**, please phone the **school office** to arrange your child’s dinners. A **Seesaw QR code will then be sent home with your child tomorrow** so you can get connected. 📲

🌟 A Busy Week of Staff Training at Thornfield House School! 🌟

Our staff have had a very busy and productive week of professional development, all focused on helping us provide the very best support, care and learning experiences for your children. 💙💛

📘 PLPs & SEN Protocols
Our SENCO guided staff through PLP training and important SEN protocols, ensuring we continue to effectively plan for and meet the individual needs of every pupil.

🧩 Attention Autism & Safeguarding
Our SLT led staff training on Attention Autism, alongside essential Safeguarding training, keeping the wellbeing and safety of our pupils at the heart of everything we do.

🌱 Nurture Training
A huge thank you to Elaine from EA, who guided us through Nurture training and explored how we can further develop nurturing approaches across our school.

✋ Take 5
We were delighted to welcome Lindsay Shaw, who introduced staff to the Take 5 initiative. We’re looking forward to embedding this approach throughout the school during the year ahead.

💬 RSE Training
Staff participated in valuable RSE training delivered by Informing Choices NI, supporting us to deliver appropriate and meaningful learning for our pupils.

♾️ Autism Training
We also benefited from excellent specialist training from the Middletown Centre for Autism, further developing our knowledge, understanding and practice.

A huge thank you to everyone who supported our training this week and to our staff for their continued commitment and enthusiasm.

We’re trained, prepared and looking forward to welcoming our pupils back on Tuesday for another fantastic year at Thornfield House! 💙💛

📣 Support available for families as new school year begins

The EA is reminding parents and carers that help and information is available as schools across Northern Ireland prepare to welcome pupils back for the new academic year.

A number of dedicated helplines are in place and further information and details of support are available through the EA website and social media channels. This covers a range of areas, including special educational needs (SEN), school transport, free school meals, uniform grants and admissions.

🎉 CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR YEAR 12 & 13 PUPILS! 🎉

A huge congratulations to all of our Year 12 and 13 pupils who received their exam results today!

We are absolutely delighted to celebrate an incredible 100% pass rate, with every pupil achieving A–C grades! 🌟👏

We are so proud of the hard work, determination and commitment shown by each of our pupils. A fantastic achievement and a very special day for our whole school community. 💙💛

Can anyone help us identify 2 trespassers into our school grounds yesterday? It seems they forced entry through our greenhouse and have caused some damage. All information is also being investigated by the PSNI
