🏆 We're delighted that Cruise Belfast, our partnership with Visit Belfast, has been recognised with a Special Achievement Award from Northern Ireland Travel News, marking 30 years of growth and success.

The award recognises three decades of collaboration and commitment that have helped transform Belfast into one of the leading cruise destinations in the UK and Ireland.

From welcoming just two cruise ships in 1996 to hosting more than 60 vessels and almost 150 cruise calls this year, Belfast's cruise story has been an extraordinary one.

This recognition reflects the strength of partnership between Belfast Harbour, Visit Belfast and the many organisations, businesses and individuals who work together to deliver a memorable welcome for cruise visitors from around the world.

HMS Queen Elizabeth has certainly made an impression since arriving in Belfast Harbour last week, attracting significant public interest as one of the Royal Navy's most recognisable and impressive vessels.

The visit has also been a historic one, marking 61 years since an aircraft carrier was last welcomed to Belfast Harbour.

HMS Queen Elizabeth is expected to depart tomorrow morning, offering one final opportunity to see the aircraft carrier as it leaves Belfast Harbour - keep an eye along the shore on Belfast Lough!

Our final call of the season is the sole visitor to Belfast Cruise Terminal next week.

At 258 metres and boasting a wealth of features and facilities, the Norwegian Cruise Line Norwegian Sun brings a fitting end to what has been another outstanding season for cruise in Belfast.

Since welcoming our first vessel back in March we have seen a wide array of ships coming and going to and from our berths, from the mighty MSC Cruises Preziosa, which marked the 30th anniversary of cruise in Belfast, to a triple call from a stunning trio of vessels – the Douglas Mawson, L’Austral and regular visitor the Ambassador Cruise Line Ambition.

Thank you to everyone who has been following our weekly updates throughout the past seven months – we’ll be back in the Spring as we welcome the launch of the 2027 cruise season.

⚓ Stunning scenes as HMS Queen Elizabeth arrived into Belfast early this morning.

The Royal Navy aircraft carrier sailed into Belfast Harbour at first light, creating some spectacular views from across the city.

Measuring 284 metres in length, the vessel will remain alongside at Belfast Cruise Terminal until next Monday.

Belfast Harbour will be welcoming HMS Queen Elizabeth into port tomorrow.

The Royal Navy aircraft carrier will arrive in Belfast as part of a scheduled visit, so keep an eye out for her in Belfast Lough from sunrise as this impressive vessel makes its approach. We also look forward to welcoming the crew during their stay in the city. The vessel will be remaining in port until Monday.
