Engage With Age delivered an informative Pain Management session at St Jude’s Fellowship yesterday, providing participants with practical strategies to better understand and manage chronic pain. The session was complemented by a Chi Me workshop facilitated by Teresa from Evolve Movement Therapy, which introduced gentle movements and relaxation techniques to support physical wellbeing, reduce stress, and promote overall health.
Both sessions were well received, with everyone picking up useful tips and techniques to use in everyday life.

Planning for an ageing population means making sure people can live safely, afford to heat their homes, and have the financial security to live independently and participate in society. As people live longer and household sizes become smaller, the demand for suitable, accessible and age-friendly homes will continue to grow. As our population gets older, we will also see an increase in the number of people living in poverty.

Northern Ireland is ageing rapidly. This isn't a distant demographic trend. It is happening now. The Commissioner's message is clear - Population ageing should be explicitly included in the next Programme for Government. What a pleasure it was to have the author Tony Macaulay with us today at the Calvary Baptist Church OP Club!

Tony is an acclaimed author and peace builder. You might know Tony as an author of Paperboy, Breadboard, All Growed Up, Little House on the Peace Line and other books, as well as having numerous appearances on BBC Radio Ulster

His first book Paperboy has been adapted for the stage as a musical and premiered at the Lyric Theatre couple of years ago. Tony is actively engaged in peace building process both domestically and abroad, notably in Rwanda.
