📩 Continued letter postal delays resulting in missed hospital appointments

I continue to be contacted by many of you, rightly frustrated by mail delivery delays and its consequence. Yesterday I met with Consumer Council for Northern Ireland to discuss these issues.

I've met with Royal Mail management on several occasions, and continue to raise concerns about delays impacting customers across the North West.

Consumer Council has also raised these concerns with Royal Mail and has specifically highlighted issues affecting the Derry area at recent engagement meetings. Reform of the Postal Services Universal Service Obligation (USO) remains under discussion and it is hoped that this will help address some of the issues.

Consumer Council are undertaking a significant programme of research into postal and parcel delivery services, including the impact of USO reform.

I'll keep fighting on this issue to ensure people receive the reliable postal service they deserve.
