JOB SUMMARY

Kieran Toale, Business Services Organisation (BSO) Health and Safety Manager graduated from the National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH) Diploma programme at the University of Warwick, Coventry on 7 September 2026.

The NEBOSH Diploma is widely recognised as one of the leading professional qualifications in occupational health and safety and provides advanced knowledge in areas including risk management, health and safety leadership, occupational health, fire safety, incident investigation, workplace hazards and legal compliance.

The knowledge and skills Kieran has gained through the Diploma will further support the work of BSO in promoting safe and healthy workplaces, effective risk management, fire safety, environmental management and staff wellbeing across the organisation.

JOB SUMMARY

In September, Business Services Organisation (BSO) Payroll Shared Services team celebrated National Payroll Week, an initiative dedicated to recognising and raising awareness of the vital work payroll professionals deliver across the UK.

To mark the occasion, a range of activities were organised throughout the week for staff providing an opportunity to come together and celebrate their achievements. Each team also had the opportunity to nominate a colleague who they felt deserved the ‘Payroll Dedication Award’ for their contribution to the team and overall delivery of our payroll.

Manage the BSO PaLS vehicle fleet to ensure BSO PaLS comply with current legislation (VOSA) and demonstrate good governance. Work with third party providers, to ensure there is a robust service and maintenance regime in place to ensure the fleet availability meets operational needs. A qualified, competent, professional and certified person as required to be named on the BSO Vehicle Operating License. Monitor driver’s performance to ensure good standards of driving and adherence to the Law, whilst upholding the reputation of the BSO.
Responsible for promoting & maintaining Fire, Health & Safety standards across the Logistics operational sites. Conducting periodic Fire, Health & Safety checks, audits and risk assessments. Certified trainer for Fire, Health & Safety and Manual Handling.
