Meet Louise✨ the heart mum making a big difference❤️

This Volunteers Week, we’re celebrating Louise, our amazing North Down Group Organiser. As a heart mum to 4‑year‑old Hugo, she’s passionate about supporting families living with congenital heart disease and helping build a community where children like Hugo can grow, connect, and meet other children like him as he learns more about his own special heart.

We’re so grateful for the warmth and dedication Louise brings to our families in North Down.

Jennifer met the King and Queen 👑🥰👏

Jennifer, our Community Family Support Officer, was nominated to attend the Royal Garden Party at Hillsborough Castle and we couldn’t wait to sit down with her and hear all about it.

From the moment she found out, to meeting the King and Queen, to the incredible work she does supporting heart families across Northern Ireland… this is a story filled with heart, gratitude and well‑deserved recognition.

Jennifer was nominated by heart mum Deborah, who shared that she has “a complete heart of gold” 💛

Thank you Tech Tee Up! 🙌❤️

We’re delighted to be one of the three charities chosen for this year’s event.

Tech Tee Up is a brilliant charity golf day bringing the tech community together to raise funds, have fun, and make a real impact. ⛳❤️

Your fundraising helps us provide vital support for children and young people living with congenital heart disease across Northern Ireland, including family support, hospital and surgical travel assistance, and programmes for teens and siblings who feel the impact too.

Your generosity means heart families never face their journey alone.

We can’t wait to see everyone on the big day! 🎉❤️

Jennifer’s Surprise Invitation💌👑

We’ve been teasing a very special announcement for a while, and today we can finally reveal that Jennifer received a surprise invitation to the Royal Garden Party at Hillsborough Castle.

Jennifer was one of the 2,500 people invited after being nominated by heart mum Deborah, whose family she supported through their daughter Olivia’s congenital heart disease journey ❤️‍🩹

Deborah wanted to recognise the compassion, strength and lived experience Jennifer brings to families every single day. As she shared, “Jennifer has a complete heart of gold and was with us every step of the way. We will be eternally grateful for everything she has done for our family.”

Seeing Jennifer honoured in this way means so much to all of us at Children’s Heartbeat Trust. Her dedication to heart families across Northern Ireland shines through in everything she does, and this moment of recognition is truly deserved.

Fab Fundraiser Friday🥰❤️👏

Today our hearts are full. The kindness and generosity shown to us recently has made such a meaningful difference to local children living with heart disease. Every fundraiser, every donation and every act of support helps us continue to be there for families when they need us most and we are so deeply grateful.

Here are just a few of the wonderful supporters we caught on camera📸

❤️ Fourtowns Primary School: donated £50 while fundraising for their own equipment. We were delighted to join their assembly for the cheque presentation.

❤️ Ayrshire Cattle Society: raised an incredible £3,710 through an auction at their annual dinner. The charity was kindly nominated by Paul and Nicola Dyche, who have availed of support from the charity and are extremely grateful following their son William’s diagnosis.

❤️ Integrated College Dungannon: Year Nine students raised a fantastic £264.16 through their school fundraiser.

❤️ Alan Taggart from Thales: presented £1,000 from their Community Charitable Giving Fund, donated by staff who give monthly and choose charities to support.

❤️ Aughnacloy College: raised £600 through a non‑uniform day and selling sweets and Valentine’s gifts.

❤️ Noel Kerr: donated £380 from a charity football match, Bailey’s Legends v Rosie’s Bakes.

❤️ Millisle Primary: their Belfast Marathon Relay team raised an amazing £1,217.49, inspired by past pupil Gaby.

❤️ Rosie’s Relay Team: raised an incredible £2,867.59 in memory of their little heart warrior, continuing years of heartfelt support.

❤️ The McCloskey Family: presented an extraordinary £5,817 raised in honour of their own heart warrior, a truly remarkable act of love and generosity.
