Community Notice - Templemore Avenue Please Share.

The Arch Committee have made plans for Loyal Orders Arch to be taken down for 2026 and be put into Storage.

We would like to thanks the residents of Templemore Avenue and surrounding streets for their support.

We kindly ask for your cooperation once more on Tuesday 1st September.

For a short period Templemore Avenue will be closed to allow lifting equipment to be brought into place.

Can we ask residents to keep Templemore Avenue clear of cars around the Arch.

What a Glorious Twelfth! A spectacular day in Belfast ☀️ with massive support from beginning to end.🇬🇧 Amongst the thousands spectating were tourists from visiting cruise ships keen to get a photo with our famous banner, everytime we stopped for a break. As the United States of America celebrates the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence in 1776, the Grand Orange Lodge of Ireland is preparing to publish an important new book examining the close links between the Glorious Revolution and the American Revolution less than 90 years later.

Outgoing US Consul General James Applegate recently visited the Museum of Orange Heritage at Schomberg House to view our Liberty exhibition and to preview our forthcoming publication Declarations of Liberty.

The U.S. Consulate in Belfast was established in 1796 by the first American President, George Washington, and is the second oldest continuously operating U.S. Consulate in the world, illustrating the important long-standing links between Ulster and the United States.
