⚽🏆 Shield Champions! 🏆⚽

What a fantastic achievement for our football team today at the Breda Football Tournament! Our boys proudly brought home the Shield Trophy! 🎉

The boys controlled each game and created plenty of chances, but an incredibly tense final ended level after full time. With everything still to play for, the team held their nerve in a dramatic penalty shootout, showing great composure and courage to secure the victory and lift the Breda Shield.

Well done, lads! Enjoy this! ⚽💚❤🏆

🏰 P2 visit Carrickfergus Castle 🏰

On Wednesday P2 visited Carrickfergus Castle as part of their Castles and Fairytales topic. They explored the grounds looking at the features on the outside of the castle built to protect it and got to see how the Kings and Queens would have lived in the past. They got to dress up as Kings, Queens, Princesses and Knights which was lots of fun!

This time last week P7 enjoyed their trip to Stormont as part of our Ancient Greek topic. We explored the influence the Ancient Greeks have had on our lives today, with a particular focus on democracy. We also spotted examples of Ancient Greek architecture at Stormont, including the grand columns on the Parliament Buildings, which resemble those found on Greek temples.

We even had the opportunity to visit the Assembly Chamber and take part in our own debate! The children shared their ideas confidently and put their oracy skills into action.

A brilliant day of learning outside the classroom!
