****MEMORIAL SERVICE****
Every year, thousands of lives are lost as people flee from war and famine, perishing along dangerous land routes or drowning in the Mediterranean while attempting to reach safety.

On Sunday, the 18th of January 2026 at 3:00 p.m., a Memorial Service will be held at Newtownbreda Presbyterian Church (St. John’s), organized by Embrace NI and open to everyone of any faith background. There will be no casket or burial, as the precious lives being commemorated never made it here or to safety anywhere. They died before reaching the security they risked their lives to find. We will honour and remember them together.
See details below and please share on your own networks - Thank you

☕ What are Sanctuary Coffee Mornings?
They’re a welcoming space for everyone to enjoy tea, coffee, pastries, and, most importantly, gain access to useful information. The sessions take place one Wednesday a month from 10am to 12.00 noon at 48 University Road. You’ll find us in the Seminar Room (ground floor, first door on the right as you enter the building).

Places are limited, so please make sure you register in advance using the link provided above.

An Arabic interpreter will be available at all sessions. If you need interpretation in another language, PLEASE EMAIL MAURICE MACARTNEY to make this request: [email protected]

🧸 Family-Friendly:
Children are welcome to join, but they must be supervised by parents at all times. We’ll have some toys and drawing materials available to help keep them entertained.

ℹ️ What to Expect:
Each session includes a short presentation and plenty of time for questions.

All are welcome, especially Refugees and those going through the asylum process!
