Booking for the three official campsites at opens today at 12 noon via the Fleadh Cheoil website.

These sites – at Titanic Quarter (caravans and camper vans) and Ormeau and Falls Parks (tents only) - will cater for some of the many visitors joining us from 2-9 August.

Those staying at all three locations will be close to all the competitions, concerts, céilís and craic, but they’ll also bring a boost to local areas too, including shops, bars, cafés and tourist attractions.

As we gear up to welcome visitors, we’ll be sharing more about how residents and local neighbourhoods are getting ready to extend our famous welcome and make the most of this opportunity for our city!

Summer Fun Days in our parks are back for 2026 🌸🍭🎠🎡

We're hosting free fun days in our parks over the summer to keep the kids entertained 🙌

Dates will be:

😍Falls Park on Thursday 9 July
😍Orangefield Park on Thursday 16 July
😍Marrowbone Millennium Park on Thursday 23 July
😍Sir Thomas and Lady Dixon Park on Thursday 13 August
😍Woodvale Park on Thursday 20 August

Activities will include:
👧 face-painting
🎈 balloon modelling
🖍️ summer crafts
🏏 lawn games
🏰 bouncy castles
🤡 walkabout entertainers

Each fun day will run from 1pm-4pm.

GLL, our leisure centre operating partner, is celebrating a record-breaking 2026 Belfast athlete intake👟🏃‍♂️

Their Sport Foundation will support 210 athletes across 34 sports through this year's programme, investing over £155,000 into local sporting talent & reinforcing Belfast's status as a 2026 European City of Sport!

Since the foundation launched in Belfast in 2015, more than 1,450 local athletes have benefitted from support, with total investment now exceeding £870,000.

City Hall is regularly illuminated in different colours for certain occasions throughout each month.

In June it will light up for various causes including:

✨2 June - Italian National Day - Red, white and green
✨6 June- Great Big Green Week - Green
✨20 June - World Refugee Day - Red
✨21 June - Day of Reflection - Yellow
✨26 June - Indian Cricket Team Belfast visit -Saffron, white & green

An LED lighting system is used, allowing us to light up the building in various colours and combinations.

Our Parks Photographic Competition is still open for entries!

By sending us one of your best captures taken in our parks and open spaces this year - you could win a cash prize sponsored by John Mc Quillan Contracts.

We're looking for the best images of our park landscapes, seasonal shots and pics of people using our green spaces.

There's also an under 16s category for our younger photographers!

For fresh, local produce, unique arts and crafts and a great atmosphere, visit St George's Market this weekend! 🙌

Come along and browse the many market stalls, pick up a treat, a bite to eat and enjoy some free live music. 🍩🍔🎸

Our variety market is on Fridays, our city food and craft market is on Saturdays and Sunday sees a mixture of both!

Belfast is getting ready to roll out the welcome mat for musicians, competitors and visitors staying in our city for this summer’s

With an anticipated 800,000 people heading our way, visitors will be able to check in to a range of overnight options to suit every pocket, from hotels and campus accommodation to local B&Bs and guest houses.

Three official campsites have also been confirmed - at Titanic Quarter, Ormeau and Falls Parks - catering for those travelling into the city from across Ireland and beyond.

Campsite bookings will open next Monday 1 June from 12 noon, via the Fleadh Cheoil website – we’re looking forward to welcoming all visitors and sharing the best of our city from 2-9 August.
