Following the issues with overflowing bins at Eyes Meadow during the warm weather in May, the Council has placed two large ‘wheelie’ bins under the tree by the car park for use when the usual bins are full, one for general waste and one for dry mixed recyclables (card/paper, plastic bottles, glass and cans). The bins will be in place until mid/late September for the use of anyone visiting Eyes Meadow. Please do not use for barbecues/hot ashes (there is a metal bin by the barbecue area for these). Thank you for helping us to keep Eyes Meadow tidy! 🌳🗑️

Weston Yates Meadow:
The Parish Council are pleased to announce that, after extended legal delays, the Weston Yates Meadow (land opposite Duffield Hall) has been transferred to our ownership.

Some time ago, we held an initial consultation and a Public Forum to consider views on how we will use the field for the use by the village. We have captured and retained all the suggestions and these will be brought forward to be discussed. To allow a fuller discussion of these, we will be holding a further Public Meeting on Thursday 6th August at 7.00 in the Weston Centre – all are welcome, whether or not you came to the first meeting.

As you'd expect, we do have some views of what we'd like to see on the field, within the protections that have been placed on its transfer. We will talk about these on the night, but any suggestions will be listened to.
