Echo's new favourite thing is a twig from the pear tree. He doesn't share πŸ˜†.

Meanwhile he continues to pay attention when his parents call, but I'm not sure that he paid any less attention to the wood pigeon...

(Those are newly-fledged wrens squeaking away in the background, too 😊πŸ₯°)

Echo now has the most beautiful new feathers on this front/top half. Just need his wings and tail to catch up.

Bella's neck and shoulder muscles get very tight, because her movement is all pulled by her front end.

I can see that a massage feels good, and she sits until she's had enough. She has to be in the mood though, and will scratch me if I choose the wrong moment.

Grace loves to chew on pieces of deer antler, which is great both for the natural calcium and for keeping her teeth trimmed down.

Not a squirrel or a corvid, you may notice 😊

My core animal physio training is centred on equine and canine, so I've been getting to know this beautiful local boy - a 16 year old and very gentle cob called DJ - so that I can get confident around horses again. I used to volunteer at an equine rescue, but it's been many years now.

Thank you to Debbie for letting me loose on him - he got a good grooming session and a bit of a massage out of it.

I'm slowly but surely building safety and trust with Grace in terms of handling her, so that I can begin to do some physio on her problem back leg. The angle of her ankle and hip are likely to cause inflammation if left alone, and so I want to keep them moving and supple the best that I can.

She looks happy here because you can't hear the noises she makes every time my other hand gets too close to the nut πŸ˜³πŸ˜†

Bella, always on the lookout for mischief.

I'm not fussed about follower numbers in general - it matters more to me that it's a kind, caring, and curious community.

But...

I've noticed that we're only 40 followers away from hitting 13k. Now I know, of course, that 13 is felt to be unlucky by many. But it happens to be a lucky number for me for some important reasons.

In addition, there are now 13 squirrels here 😊🐿.

So can you help spread the word and get 40 more followers to join our community?

Bots come and go, as do followers if it's not right for them, so numbers do fluctuate. But there's been a steady, gentle growth for the last few months. It's lovely that so many people enjoy seeing what other animals can do and learning their individual stories, especially those who are written off in mainstream opinion and guidance.

Here's Bella, the inspiration behind the page having grown so much already.
