Torridge District Council wants to warn families about leaving their pets in the care of unlicensed boarding establishments.

Unlicensed premises have not been subject to checks to ensure that the welfare needs of the animals can be met, or whether the person running the establishment is an appropriate, qualified or experienced person to do so.

Found dog 8/2/26 - He is a male , beige and white spaniel/ cocker found straying in road near Stony Cross at 8am this morning. Please call TDC out of hours number number if this is your dog: 01237 428700

Update - After investigations Ottos owners were found however this lucky boy is now in the care of k9 focus who are an amazing local charity!

This beautiful girl was found in Stanhope park (holsworthy) today, she’s currently in our care but we would love to get her back home!

16/10/25 - does anyone know who owns Barkley?
We have this beautiful entire collie who we believe is called Barkley currently in our care . He was found in the Lenwood area this morning

This beautiful lady has been found in the Kenwith area of Bideford , her microchip is out of date but is showing a Romanian start to the number
She is wearing a watermelon pattern collar and a green broken lead - of you have any information please contact environmental protection on 01237 428810
