Some advice passed on from our visitors to our stall yesterday.
1. If you have a relative who is getting care visits and has a key safe outside their front door, try to disguise its location so it is not visible from the street. People with visible key safes say they have been targeted by burglars trying to open their doors and windows.
2. If you can't afford a brand new door bell camera, have a look for a second hand one in our local charity shops - someone brought a working one for £4.00 and no subscription - so a cheap way to gather footage of incidents in your area.
3. If you are reversing out of a parking space in the Market Place in Biggleswade, please look both ways as your exit as motorists have been shocked to see bikes and cycles going the wrong way down this one way street.
4. If you spot an electric bike driven dangerously shout "Crush it" at them. And report it to the police. The rules changed in June and illegal bikes can be seized and crushed immediately - no period of grace allowed - so we just need to get the routes they use highlighted to the police.
5. If you have your door secured on a chain but left unlocked, people may be able to reach in and remove the chain and open the door, so its best to keep it locked.
