All Nottinghamshire Libraries and Ask Inspire will be CLOSED on Monday 31 August for the Bank Holiday 🏖️

Ask Inspire will close at 4pm on Saturday 29 August and reopen at 9am on Tuesday 1 September. We look forward to welcoming you back when we reopen! Check your local library opening times at inspireculture.org.uk/ourlibraries

Calling all **Summer Reading Challenge** participants.... if you have time to complete your challenge before the Bank Holiday - do pop by ASAP.
Don't forget we will be shut (for decorating) from TUES 1ST Sept and will reopen WEDS 9th Sept BUT you will then have until 4pm on Sat 12th September to complete, as we have been able to extend our completion date.
WELL DONE EVERYONE ....SO FAR!

The list includes some great titles from classics by Thomas Hardy and Daphne Du Maurier, to award-winners Elif Shafak and Susanna Clarke, local offerings by Matt Haig and T. M. Logan, and current favourites like Coleen Hoover and Richard Osman.

This Nottinghamshire Day, we're inviting you to help preserve the story of one of our county's most iconic landmarks, the Major Oak 🌳

We already have more than 100 images of the Major Oak in our collection, and we'd love your help to grow it and keep the memory of this legendary tree alive for future generations 💚

Whether you're a seasoned creator or just picked up a paintbrush recently, if you live in Nottinghamshire we would love to see a piece of your 2D or 3D work in our Inspire Community Open Exhibition 2026 at Inspire Beeston Library 🖼️

Spaces are limited - apply by 3 October 2026 🖌️🎨
Exhibition dates 7 November – 19 December 2026
For ages 16+, only £5 to exhibit one piece.
