Labour promised "biggest wave of insourcing of public services in a generation"
So why is a Labour led Wirral Council still wedded to a failed outsourcing model.
Two weeks ago Wirral voted for partial outsourcing of day services, not immediately, it will be phased, and the details and impact, will not be known until after the all out elections next May.
But once the elections are out the way we fear a lower quality, more expensive, smaller in house provision.

Determined strikers from Wirral Evolutions gathered on picket lines this morning to demand the pay they deserve ✊️

Picket lines tomorrow morning at Eastham and Cambridge Road.
We ask the Labour led Council for fair grading for care workers.

Staff at Wirral Evolutions first raised concerns they were being underpaid almost three years ago and walked out for the first time in October last year. Next week will take the number of strike days to 32.

It's time for Wirral Council to do the right thing.
