π Pupil Volunteering at Bidston Avenue β National Volunteer Week π
As we mark National Volunteer Week, we are proud to celebrate the ongoing impact of our pupil volunteering scheme across the school community. π
Our pupils continue to show growing empathy, maturity and a genuine commitment to helping othersβoften choosing to support quietly and without recognition. This reflects a strong and positive culture of kindness and responsibility. π
The programme helps pupils develop key skills such as leadership, confidence and teamwork, while also improving engagement and behaviour across school. Staff and parents continue to highlight the difference it is making. π
We currently have 45 active volunteers (Years 3β6). Collectively, pupils (including past volunteers who have now moved on to high school) have contributed a remarkable 65,780 minutes (1,096 hours / 46 days) of service to our school community. π«
We are also proud to celebrate achievement levels so far:
π₯ 135 Bronze awards
π₯ 78 Silver awards
π₯ 41 Gold awards
π 21 Platinum awards
πΈ The photos shared are a trip down memory lane, highlighting some of our favourite volunteering moments and the lasting impact our pupils have made.
A fantastic example of pupils making a real and lasting differenceβfitting to celebrate during National Volunteer Week and beyond! π
